Friends for Life

Always try to help a friend in need

Believe in yourself

Be brave...but it's ok to be afraid sometimes

Study hard

Give lots of kisses

Laugh often

Don't be overly concerned with your weight, it's just a number

Always try to see the glass half full

Meet new people, even if they look different to you

Remain calm, even when it seems hopeless

Take lots of naps..

Be weird whenever you have the chance

Love your friends, no matter who they are

Don't waste food

RELAX

Take an occasional risk

Try to have a little fun each day.
....it's important

Work together as a team

Share a joke with friends

Fall in love with someone..

....and say 'I love you' often

Express yourself creatively

Be conscious of your appearance

Always be up for surprises

Love someone with all of your heart

Share with friends

Watch your step

It will get better

There is always someone who loves you more than you know

Seize the Moment

Hold on to good friends; they are few and far between

Indulge in the things you truly love

At the end of the day... PRAY

........ and close your eyes

And smile at least once a day!

**I received this funny inspiring animals message as an email from my Auntie Deliah Conor who is now at Vancouver, Canada with her family.

I MUST Graduate ON Time!

UP's Sablay

Yesterday, Ate Donna (YW 1st councilor) and I went to visit some of our young women. We updated them of the upcoming activities, and invited them to attend.

Before going home, we stopped by our bishop's house (Bishop Macabenta), and discussed with him the status of the Young Women Organization. Bishop asked me a lot of questions about the mining and metallurgical industry, because he is planning to go into that industry as a safety officer.

Then he asked me if I will be graduating on April 2011 na ba. I just did my usual answer (and most of my friends' answer too if you'd ask them the same question) of: showing my crossed fingers and a big smile. Then I added, "Hopefully." I expected them to laugh and tease me. But instead, both Ate Rhea (bishop's  loving wife) and Bishop gave me a "sermon".

"Sayang ang oras. Sayang ang panahon." He initially told me. Tsaka dagdag pang pahirap. Mas ok na ipagsiksikan mo na lahat ng kaya mong kunin next sem, at least after nun tapos na ang paghihirap mo."

After hearing those words, I realized that he is right.

From now on, when someone will ask me kung gagraduate na ba ako next sem, I'll proudly say, "Dapat!"

Bus Eavesdropping

On the way to school, I chose to ride the bus from Guadalupe to Philcoa instead of the usual MRT till Quezon Ave.

At the back of my seat is a girl, an adult girl but not yet married, who was making a phone call to someone named Mark. Her voice was so loud that I can't help but to listen to their conversation (her phone is in loudspeaker mode also). She was like asking directions to that certain Mark on how to go to Mark's house.

"Mark" asked where the bus is na, and she said, "Lagpas na ng Guadalupe at Megamall." Anyway, she is right at some point naman. That's the first one.

Just then I looked around the bus and saw that the curtains are red and yellow. I laughed quietly. She was referring to the itsura ng bus from inside, not from the outside. Ang labo talaga ni ate. Then our bus passed through some glass-walled establishments along EDSA and I saw that the bus was Jayross Lucky Seven Tours, which color is like blue and yellow.

Yun lang. haha Just some funny moments in the bus.

I know it's not proper to eavesdrop, but you really can't help it if the voices are so loud and their conversation is so magulo. =))

Bob Ong's Philosophy on Love

19. "Ang pag-ibig parang imburnal...nakakata kot mahulog...at kapag nahulog ka, it's either by accident or talagang tanga ka.."

*** I was looking for another inspiring email from my Auntie Deliah, unfortunately, I found this post by Kuya Danel Beriong. hahaha =))

Messages from President Hinckley

Without hard work, nothing grows but weeds.
Gordon B. Hinckley

"Stop looking for the storms and enjoy more fully the sunlight."
Gordon B. Hinckley

Give expression to the noble desires that lie in your heart.
Gordon B. Hinckley

"Forget yourself and get to work."
Gordon B. Hinckley

I am totally in the hands of the Lord. Gordon B. Hinckley

"Be believing, be happy, don't get discouraged. Things will work out."
Gordon B. Hinckley

A prominent judge was asked what we, as citizens of the countries of the world, could do to reduce crime and disobedience to law and to bring peace and contentment into our lives and into our nations. He thoughtfully replied, "I would suggest a return to the old-fashioned practice of family prayer." Gordon B. Hinckley

"Get on your knees and pray, then get on your feet and work."
Gordon B. Hinckley

Believe in Jesus Christ, our Savior and our Redeemer, the Son of God, who came to earth and walked the dusty roads of Palestine-the Son of God-to teach us the way of truth and light and salvation, and who, in one great and glorious act offered an atonement for each of us. He opened the way of salvation and exaltation for each of us, under which we may go forward in the Church and kingdom of God. Be not faithless, but believe in the great and wonderful and marvelous blessings of the Atonement.

Gordon B. Hinckley

Our kindness may be the most persuasive argument for that which we believe.
Gordon B. Hinckley
"If Life Gets Too Hard To Stand, Kneel."
Gordon B. Hinckley

The time has come for us to stand a little taller, to lift our eyes and stretch our minds to a greater comprehension and understanding of the grand millennial mission of this, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Gordon B. Hinckley

Truly, my dear young friends, you are a chosen generation. I hope you will never forget it. I hope you will never take it for granted. I hope there will grow in your hearts an overpowering sense of gratitude to God, who has made it possible for you to come upon the earth in this marvelous season of the world's history.
Gordon B. Hinckley

Our lives are the only meaningful expression of what we believe and in Whom we believe. And the only real wealth, for any of us, lies in our faith.
Gordon B. Hinckley
"When I say do your best, I mean you're very best. You are capable of so much more."
Gordon B. Hinckley

This cause will roll on in majesty and power to fill the earth. Doors now closed to the preaching of the gospel will be opened. The Almighty, if necessary, may have to shake the nations to humble them and cause them to listen to the servants of the living God. Whatever is needed will come to pass.
Gordon B. Hinckley

"Life is to be enjoyed, not endured"
Gordon B. Hinckley

Respect for self is the beginning of cultivating virtue in men and women.

Gordon B. Hinckley

"You can be smart and happy or stupid and miserable. . . it's your choice"
Gordon B. Hinckley

"Good books are as friends, willing to give to us if we are willing to make a little effort."
Gordon B. Hinckley

Those who grieve frequently find themselves alone. Missed is the laughter of children, the commotion of teenagers, and the tender, loving concern of a departed companion. The clock ticks more loudly, time passes more slowly, and four walls can indeed a prison make. I extol those who, with loving care and compassionate concern, feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and house the homeless. He who notes the sparrow's fall will not be unmindful of such service

Gordon B. Hinckley

"Try a little harder to be a little better."
