I Shared my Saba

On my way to work today, a teenage boy boarded the jeepney where I am seated and started giving out envelopes. He then sat down at the rear part of the jeepney and started to play music with his improvised drum set matched with whistling.

After his performance, he collected back the envelopes, which was where we should put our alms (which they most preferred to be money). Yes, I did give him alms, but not money (I don't give money to beggars, only food). So I took out my nilagang saba that was supposed to be my merienda, and gave to the young boy. I did not hear any "Thank you" but still I am happy that I was able to share with him the food that I have.
